I didn't know the tale, so I'm amazed at how small the world has proved to be... again!
It all came to light in 2010 and I blogged about it then. The BritMums team have only recently heard the story and wanted to mention it so Toni and I did a joint post about it. Puts a smile on your face, doesn't it!
I had completely forgotten about the blog post comments though and nearly jumped out of my skin when I read the draft of the Brit Mums post! Hilarious.
You're right. I could only remember the chats we had on Mad Manic Mamas website. When I realised I had actually said in jest, 'Are we related?' in a reply to you, I was flabbergasted!
I'm so glad you've said that, I read it earlier and thought "I know this already! How do I know this? I sure I know this?" LOL, I thought I had gone all 'superpower' or even worse Doris Stokesish ! It is a lovely photo of you in the piece.
These anecdotes are the best. I like that whole six degrees of separation thing about blogging.
I LOVE this story. I've known you both in the blog world, and there is more of a resemblance than just your nose!
I love this story, especially since you were both on my blogroll for quite a while before I found out about the connection!
There's so much, isn't there. It was great when you discovered we had both been to the same school, when I wrote about my batty Geography teacher, Miss Kavanagh! That was so funny to learn you had been taught be her too.
Ah that'll be our wit, intelligence and all round scintillating personalities? Or is it the same Geordie accent despite many years of living away from Newcastle?
You have exceptional taste, Ms C :-)
What a small world!... :)
Amazeballs... I know one of my bloggy pals has the same surname as me. But I'm pretty sure we're not related.Might check that out now...
Thats so cool, popping over right now!
Wow- that's incredible! And you not only have the same nose (lamps notwithstanding) - I think you look incredibly alike!
Indeed! Feel like singing the Disney song now..
You had best check, Macy - there's a family gene for blogging.
Ok, will talk to you there!
I think it's going to be funny when we meet again at BritMums Live and start gabbing in Geordie with each other.
